Fordham Breaks Record, Honors Excellence at
Founder’s Award Dinner

If money talks, then $2.4 million has a lot to say.

That was the record-breaking sum raised for the Fordham Founder’s Presidential Scholarship Fund by alumni and friends who celebrated the University’s tradition and excellence at its annual gala.

The seventh annual Founder’s Award Dinner on March 31 brought more than 1,000 supporters to the glitz and glamour of the Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf=Astoria.

WFUV to Fete Music

Spring Gala

Hot on the heels of its 60th anniversary reunion in October, WFUV will throw its first Spring Gala on Tuesday, April 29 at Sotheby’s auction house.

Grammy Award-winning singer and musician Emmylou Harris, CBS journalist Charles Osgood (FCRH ’54) and Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully (FCRH ’49) will be honored for their achievements. Harris, a longtime favorite of WFUV listeners, will perform at the event.
