Men's Basketball Team To Play Richmond in Tournament

The Fordham University men’s basketball team opens Atlantic 10 tournament play against the University of Richmond on Wednesday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m. in Boardwalk Hall at Atlantic City, N.J.

The Rams enter the tournament as the fifth seed, the highest seeding since Fordham joined the Atlantic 10 Conference. The winner will go on to play the University of Rhode Island on Thursday, March 8. The Rams closed out the regular season on Sunday with a win over Temple University at the Rose Hill Gymnasium, 80-73. With the win, its fourth in a row, Fordham improved to 17-11 overall and10-6 in conference.

The 10 conference wins marked the most for a Rams team since Fordham joined the conference in 1995, and the 11-3 mark at home was the most wins in the Rose Hill Gymnasium for a Fordham team since 1992. In addition, junior Bryant Dunston was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference second team, and junior Marcus Stout was selected to the All-Conference third team.
