Fordham Mourns the Death of Gene Mazzei, Safety and Security

Gene Mazzei, desk supervisor in the Safety and Security Department, died suddenly on Thursday, March 19, 2009. Mazzei, who worked in the department for almost two years, is the father of Kathleen Mazzei, administrative assistant for the Safety and Security Department.

A wake will be held at Edward F. Lieber Funeral Home, 266 N. Central Avenue, Valley Stream, N.Y., on Sunday, March 22, 2009: 2 to 4 p.m. and  7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday, March 23, 2009: 2 to 4 p.m. and  7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at 9:30a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 90 South Grove Street, Valley Stream, N.Y.

Condolences may be sent to Kathleen Mazzei at the Safety and Security Department, Thebaud Hall, Rose Hill campus.
