Fordham Undergraduate Research Symposium search/undergraduate_resear/index.asp

Fordham College at Rose Hill annually hosts an Undergraduate Research Symposium in April. Undergraduates from all majors are invited to present their original work through poster presentations, oral presentations, and artwork at the Symposium. The Undergraduate Research Symposium also provides a great opportunity for students across the disciplines to share their academic projects.

Center for Electoral Politics and Democracy

The Center aims to broaden our understanding of contemporary campaigns and elections. The Elections and Campaign Management graduate program provides training that blends theory and scholarly investigation of politics with practical electioneering. Students study voting behavior and political institutions as well as polling, campaign strategy, fundraising and media communications.

Fordham’s International and Study Abroad Program

Study abroad at Fordham is part of a long-standing tradition of Jesuit education that seeks to enhance students’ understanding of the world’s peoples and their interdependence. The goal of the program is to help students gain an understanding of other cultures and to incorporate a global dimension into their field of study. Global Outreach

Global Outreach is a program under the auspices of the Office of Mission and Ministry at Fordham University. Global Outreach is a cultural immersion and service program where Fordham students learn about various issues of social, economic, political and environmental injustice, while living a simple lifestyle that fosters communal and spiritual growth. Global Outreach teams travel to collaborate with our partnering organizations during winter, spring, and summer break.

Career Resources

The New York State Assembly Internship Program

The New York State Assembly Intern Committee sponsors the Session Internship at the State Capital starting every January. The program offers college students a chance to participate in state government and the legislative process through a well-structured practical learning experience. The Assembly Intern Committee awarded a $4,140 stipend (includes book allowance) to each Session Intern for the spring 2013 semester.

US Chamber of Commerce, Washington, DC

The U.S. Chamber is proud to offer internship opportunities for college students during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. Internships offer responsibilities such as research, writing, database management, web page maintenance, communications, and event preparation. Interns will also have an opportunity to attend Your First Steps to Success workshop to enhance their resume writing, cover letter writing and interviewing skills.

American Enterprise Institute, Washington, DC

AEI’s purpose is to serve leaders and the public through research and education on the most important issues of the day. AEI research is conducted through seven primary research divisions: Economics, Foreign and Defense Policy, Politics and Public Opinion, Education, Health, Energy and the Environment and Society and Culture.

Cato Institute, Washington, DC

Cato Institute is a public policy research organization committed to the principles of individual liberty, private property, free markets, limited government, and the philosophy of classical, or market, liberalism.

Foreign Policy Association

FPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring the American public to learn more about the world. The Foreign Policy Association serves as a catalyst for developing awareness, understanding of, and providing informed opinions on global issues.

The Council on Foreign Relations

CFR is a leading independent, nonpartisan membership organization, think tank, and publisher. CFR is dedicated to being a resource for its members, government officials, business executives, journalists, educators and students, civic and religious leaders, and other interested citizens to better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries. The Internship Program offers outstanding volunteer opportunities for college students, graduate students, and graduates focusing on international relations.
