Orthodox Christian Fellowship

Orthodox Christian Fellowship

In 2004, Fordham formed a chapter of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship. The Orthodox Christian Fellowship is a pan-Orthodox organization of college students who meet for fellowship, worship, and support at colleges and universities across the country. In addition to worship services, the group hosts speakers and performs charitable outreach.

During the academic year, OCF hosts bimonthly LOGOS gatherings where students pray together, talk about the week, and try to grow together in faith. OCF students volunteer at Emmaus House of Harlem, a center serving homeless families.

During summer 2014, the Center provided scholarships so that eight Fordham students could serve as camp counselors at Camp Saint Paul, the Archdiocesan summer youth camp. These students are: Dimetrios Florakis, Michelle Ioanou, Maria Kovoros, Alex Kuvshinoff, Elizabeth Lefer, Steven Neocleous, Michael Palamara, and Maria Pappas.

For more information about Fordham's chapter or to be added to the email list, please contact Michael Palamara at or Fr. Elias Villis, Fordham's OCF Chaplain, at or 914.967.2838.

The Orthodox Christian Fellowship meets thanks to the support of Fordham's Office of Campus Ministry.

Liturgical items

In 2014, the Center commissioned a set of liturgical items from Andreas Mantzioutas, an artist in Greece who specializes in creating traditional Orthodox Christian liturgical pieces.

The members of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center are deeply grateful to the Maguire Family for this tangible expression of their love for the liturgical life of Fordham students and for the commitment to the mission of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center.
