Corey McEleney is currently working on a book titled Vanity Fare: Pleasure, Futility, and Early Modern Literature, which examines the role that pleasure plays in early modern writers’ attempts to defend the value of poetry and the theater. Articles based on this and other research are forthcoming in ELH, GLQ, differences, and collections on the work of Thomas Nashe and Katherine Philips.
